We apply a total method in which we look at the balance of the entire horse. This is called a holistic approach: the word 'holistic' comes from the Greek word holos, which means 'whole'. We see the horse as a whole, in which the inside (the resistance and internal balance) and the outside (the skin and coat) are inextricably linked.
